About us
Minyan Alumot is a community-led Modern Orthodox minyan that seeks to be maximally welcoming, inclusive, and spiritually uplifting. We value intellectual curiosity, openness, and honesty about why we do what we do.
Location & Schedule
- We meet every other Shabbat morning at 384 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA, on the third floor.
- We begin at 9:15AM, starting with רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל אוֹמֵר and we conclude at approximately 11:15AM, followed by a delicious kiddush.
- Each week we add a new yad to our collection, designed and 3D-printed by Itamar Conforti.
Accessibility
- The 384 Harvard Street campus is fully wheelchair accessible.
- We offer large-print siddurim to enhance participation.
- If you have specific accessibility needs or require assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Inclusion
- Our tasteful side-by-side mechitza provides equal space and comfort for the men and women of the minyan, including equal views of the Torah service.
- The hakafot of the Torah, from and to the aron, are routed through both the women's and men's sides.
- Women lead the congregation in:
- tefila b'ad hamemshala (Prayer for the Government)
